Lighting & smart controls

Lutron Diva Smart Dimmer
Lutron

Diva Smart Dimmer

A familiar wall dimmer with smart lighting options. Consider it for kitchens, living spaces and lighting controlled from more than one location.

Fit & planning
Useful for
Dimming compatible lights, adding a Pico remote control point, and building a coordinated Caséta lighting setup.
Plan before buying
Review the exact Diva model and lamp compatibility. The standard Diva Smart Dimmer does not require a neutral; other models differ. A compatible Smart Hub adds app and connected-home features.

Ubiquiti UniFi U6 Pro
Ubiquiti

UniFi U6 Pro

UniFi U6 Pro is a ceiling-mounted Wi-Fi 6 access point. Wired access points can be part of a more organized home or business network.

Fit & planning
Useful for
Home offices, home labs and business spaces where a planned wired connection to an access point makes sense.
Plan before buying
An access point is only one part of the network. Plan Cat6 routes, compatible Power over Ethernet (PoE), the gateway or router and management setup. Coverage depends on the building and placement.
Send us
A floor plan or room list, existing network equipment models, internet handoff location and camera or device counts.

EV charging

ChargePoint Home Flex
ChargePoint

Home Flex

Home Flex offers a dedicated Level 2 charging option, with J1772 and NACS versions to match the vehicle.

Fit & planning
Useful for
Regular home charging at a planned parking location.
Plan before buying
Choose the connector first, then review the wiring route, service capacity and hardwired or receptacle configuration. Charging performance depends on both the vehicle and the approved installation.
Send us
Vehicle year and model, parking photos, approximate panel-to-charger distance and whether a second EV is planned.

Tesla Wall Connector
Tesla

Tesla Wall Connector

Wall Connector is a home charging option to consider alongside the Universal Wall Connector for different vehicle needs.

Fit & planning
Useful for
A planned charging space, including projects that may add another vehicle later.
Plan before buying
Confirm the vehicle connector and exact charger model. Compatible Tesla power-management features may help manage charging demand, but the electrical design and any additional equipment need review.
Send us
Vehicle details, charger model, parking layout and future charging plans. An existing panel photo is helpful only with the cover closed.

Backup power

Start with what needs to stay running and for how long. A generator, a UPS and a portable power station solve different problems.

Generac 26kW Standby Generator
Generac

26kW Standby Generator

A standby generator and compatible transfer equipment can provide automatic backup when utility power is interrupted.

Fit & planning
Useful for
A planned backup system for selected essential loads or a broader household load plan.
Plan before buying
The pictured 26kW unit is an example, not a sizing recommendation. Generator selection depends on starting loads, fuel supply, location, transfer equipment and permit requirements.
Send us
The appliances and systems you want backed up, available fuel type, property layout and proposed generator area.

APC by Schneider Electric

UPS for networks & sensitive equipment

A UPS is worth reviewing for a router, network switch, NAS, computer or supported business equipment.

Fit & planning
Useful for
Short power interruptions and time for a controlled shutdown, depending on the selected UPS and connected load.
Plan before buying
Compare watt capacity and runtime at the actual load. Include the modem, router and any PoE equipment that needs to stay on. A powered router cannot keep internet working if the provider’s network is down.
Send us
Equipment models, total load if known and your desired runtime. Pump or motor backup needs its own compatibility and starting-load review.

Choose by the load

Portable power & sump-pump backup

Choose the backup around the equipment and outage plan, rather than the battery size alone.

Fit & planning
Useful for
Planning backup for selected equipment where portability or a dedicated pump-backup solution may make sense.
Plan before buying
Confirm running and starting demand, output compatibility, desired runtime and how the battery will recharge. A general-purpose power station is not automatically suitable for a sump pump.
Send us
Pump or equipment model, what must stay running and the outage duration you want to plan for. Any connection to building wiring needs an approved installation.

Smart panels & load management

Adding equipment? Review demand before deciding between managing a load, replacing a panel or upgrading the service.

Stepwise Tap
Stepwise

Stepwise Tap

Stepwise Tap is a load-management option to review when a major new appliance may strain existing electrical capacity.

Fit & planning
Useful for
Exploring managed EV charging or another supported load before assuming a service upgrade is necessary.
Plan before buying
The exact appliance, equipment ratings and supported control behavior matter. Load management does not create backup power or guarantee that an upgrade can be avoided.
Send us
The proposed appliance model, existing service information and other major loads. Start with a Power-Ready review if the capacity is unclear.

SPAN Panel
SPAN

SPAN Panel

A SPAN smart panel adds circuit-level energy monitoring and control through its connected system.

Fit & planning
Useful for
A broader panel modernization project where visibility into electrical use and compatible energy-management features matter.
Plan before buying
Review the panel model, service configuration, connectivity and any battery or solar integration. A smart panel alone is not a battery and does not supply power during an outage.
Send us
Your main goals—monitoring, future EV charging, backup integration or replacement—and the equipment already installed.

Panels & circuit protection

The right equipment starts with ratings, compatibility and the job requirements. These examples are for planning; electrical equipment is not interchangeable by appearance.

Eaton CH Loadcenter
Eaton

CH Loadcenter

CH loadcenters provide power distribution and circuit protection for residential and light-commercial applications.

Fit & planning
Useful for
Planning a panel replacement, adding circuits or reviewing existing Eaton equipment.
Plan before buying
CH and BR are distinct equipment families. The panel label, listed breaker types, ratings and required protection determine the selection—not brand name alone.
Send us
A safe photo of the closed panel and any accessible model label, plus a list of planned new circuits.

Siemens Plug-on Neutral Load Center
Siemens

Plug-on Neutral Load Center

Siemens plug-on neutral loadcenters are one option for a planned panel or circuit-protection project.

Fit & planning
Useful for
New electrical distribution or replacing equipment as part of an assessed upgrade.
Plan before buying
Match the exact loadcenter and approved breakers. Space for additional circuits and available electrical capacity are separate questions.
Send us
Existing model information, the property type, current concerns and the equipment you want to add.

Square D QO Load Center
Square D

Square D QO Load Center

Square D QO is a panel and circuit-protection family; Homeline is another family to discuss when selecting equipment.

Fit & planning
Useful for
Panel replacement, renovation wiring and future circuit planning.
Plan before buying
QO and Homeline are different systems. Breaker fit, ratings and compatibility must be checked against the equipment listing. Do not choose a replacement just because it looks similar.
Send us
Existing equipment model, project scope and any planned EV charger, heat pump or other major load.

Rental & property-management options

Plan who owns each account, who has access and how a tenant or guest change will be handled.

ShinePay

Connected laundry payments

Explore a compatible payment retrofit for existing laundry equipment instead of assuming the machines need replacement.

Fit & planning
Review first
Machine make, model, payment interface, owner account, current platform fees and tenant payment options. Compatibility must be confirmed with ShinePay for the exact equipment.
Alternatives to discuss
Keeping coin operation, a manufacturer-supported payment system or replacing equipment when a retrofit is unsuitable.
Send us
Machine labels, laundry-room photos and the number of machines and properties involved.

Access & ownership

Smart locks, doorbells & shared spaces

Make a property easier to manage while keeping everyday use straightforward for residents and guests.

Fit & planning
Review first
Door hardware, weather exposure, power or battery needs, network coverage and the account-management process. Confirm the electrical scope and any locksmith or door-work needs.
Make handover easier
Plan authorized access, account ownership, battery maintenance and what happens if the internet is unavailable. Camera placement and recording must respect occupant privacy.
Send us
The number of units, existing devices and the problem you want to solve. Do not send door codes or passwords.

How do I choose between similar brands?

Start with the job: what must it do, what equipment do you already own, and who will use it? Then compare compatibility, total installation scope, subscriptions, maintenance, warranty terms and account ownership. Send two or three product links with your request and Francisco can review the fit. The lowest equipment price is not always the lowest project cost.

Do I need Wi-Fi cameras or a wired camera system?

Start with coverage, cable access, recording preferences and who will manage the system. Wi-Fi cameras still need a suitable power source. A wired network-camera project needs a plan for cabling, network power, recording and remote access. Tell us the areas you need to cover; we can help define the installation scope.

Can I mix brands or use Alexa, Google Home or Apple Home?

Sometimes, but brand names alone do not establish compatibility. The exact product, controller, firmware and supported features matter. Send your existing device list and the actions you want to automate before ordering.

Is a smart panel the same as a generator or battery?

No. A panel distributes power; a smart panel may add monitoring and control. Load management coordinates demand. A generator or battery supplies backup energy. Some systems can work together when designed with compatible equipment.

What should I include in a product installation request?

Send the product link or model, your town, property type, intended location and what you want it to do. Add safe photos of the area and visible equipment labels. Leave electrical covers in place. Mention equipment you already own and whether you want FPE to discuss supplying it. We will review the scope before confirming price or scheduling.

Send a product request
Can I buy the product myself?

Send the exact model before ordering. We’ll review the installation requirements and discuss who supplies equipment, accessories and warranty support as part of the estimate.

Will smart devices work with my existing equipment?

Compatibility depends on the model, wiring, network and existing devices. Tell us what you already use and which features matter most—local controls, remote access, schedules or monitoring.

How do I know if I have enough power?

Start with a Power-Ready Assessment when adding major electrical loads. Existing demand, proposed equipment and possible load management should be reviewed together.
